Get To Know Me A Little Bit…

Hey, whats up?

about me My name is Ahmad Ben. I’m a 23 year old millennial born in the UK with a passion for personal development and success.

Is the corporate life not what you thought it was? Are you sick and tired of waking up to that alarm clock and commuting to work everyday? Are you tired of being tired all the time?

My passion is to inspire my generation to be different. To carve your own path instead of following the well-trodden one. To show you that there is another way.

I’m here to WAKE YOUR ASS UP to the ABUNDANT life you can live in 2016.

The traditional path of going to school – college – university so you can get a degree and find a good job is a one size fits all, broken system that is now saturated with people that cant even find the job they’ve spent a quarter of their life studying towards!

Don’t get me wrong, University can still be a fantastic right of passage and is still a requirement for certain career paths BUT it is a system that just isn’t for everyone.

Times have changed. We are now in the digital age.

A time where the technology you have in your pocket is more powerful than the spaceship that landed on the moon 50 or so years ago (really).

Technology that allows you to connect with people at the other side of the planet in seconds and potentially reach millions of people at the touch of a button.

The majority of us have no idea how powerful the technology we have access to really is. It has opened doors that didn’t even exist twenty years ago.

You no longer require a degree to earn a significant income. The majority of owners of all the biggest and most successful companies are high-school drop-outs.

The current educational system doesn’t teach us about entrepreneurship (unless you’re studying entrepreneurship at uni, obviously!) or thinking outside the box, critical thinking or self-improvement.

All things that are required for entrepreneurial success.

It teaches you how to become an employee – So you can spend two thirds of your life climbing up that greasy pole for a corporate that probably doesn’t give two shits about you.

I’ve created this website so I can share many things i’ve learnt over the years. One of the most significant things being what society tells us and reinforces about success, money and entrepreneurship not being entirely true.

Too many of us follow a certain path in life just because our parents told us or because it is the “done” thing. Only to come to a realisation years later that we have no interest in it whatsoever or even hate it all together!

“If you end up with a boring miserable life because you listened to your mom, your dad, your teacher, your priest, or some guy on television telling you how to do your shit, then you deserve it.” — Frank Zappa

From a very young age I always found myself thinking in a different way. I’m a self-confessed critical thinker and have always been like this as far as I can remember. My parents regularly encouraged an alternate point of view to the one we were being told so maybe this is what led me to become a critical thinker initially but who knows! Some people call critical thinkers “conspiracy theorists” which is the most ridiculous thing i’ve ever heard!

The official definition of critical thinking is:

The objective analysis and evaluation of an issue in order to form a judgement.

Thinking objectively using rationality and logic, considering different points of view and perspectives to come to a conclusion does not make anyone a “conspiracy theorist”.

Without going into too much detail it was my critical thinking that led me to break away from the standard educational route of college, university then graduate job and eventually brought me to where I am now… A Digital Entrepreneur in this booming digital economy that most people don’t even realise exists!

My journey in a little more detail:

Going through school I wasn’t really interested in the subjects I was doing, like plenty of kids out there, I just studied them because I didn’t really have much choice and had to show up.

I was a fairly shy, timid, lad throughout school and I didn’t have a passion for any of my subjects, in fact I found the whole educational framework limiting in general. We basically had methods and solutions drilled into our head through relentless repetition. Where was the creativity? Apart from art, which I absolutely sucked at by the way, the right hemisphere of my brain was practically unused for the duration of my school career!

By the time I finished secondary school and got my GCSE’s I had just about had enough of it all. I wasn’t really sure where I wanted to go from there and being the lazy lad I was, I left college applications to the last minute.

I ended up joining the sixth-form of the secondary school I attended. I wasn’t sure about what subjects to pick but always had an interest in technology and computers so I picked IT as well as Maths and Biology.

It still baffles me to this day how we are expected to make significant life choices at ages like 14 and 16. At that time i’d barely experienced puberty. Let alone discovering something I was passionate about and wanting to dedicate years of my life to work towards!!

During the first couple of months at Sixth-form I quickly realised that I would fail most of my subjects miserably if I carried on the way I was. I had ZERO motivation to do a lot of the work because I just wasn’t interested in the majority of it.

I was indifferent to what I was studying.

I started looking online and found something that I was actually interested in for a change… a five month intensive apprenticeship doing IT. Finally, something I actually enjoyed doing! I grew up around computers and cultivated a problem solving mentality from a young age. I was the go to guy for any computer problems my family had! This was something I was fairly good at – I found it easy to troubleshoot problems and fix things.

Three months after starting my A levels I dropped out and started this IT course, it was awesome. We had to attend a 9-5 class, Monday to Friday, learning skills and gaining qualifications, and on top of that, getting paid £100 pound a week! Best of both!

Cutting a long story short and fast forward a few years later, I’ve had four jobs in IT and worked for a variety of high-profile companies, earning decent money.

However, I’ve slowly started to become sick and tired with the corporate way of life. Working for the man, building someone else’s dream. Dealing with corporate politics and ridiculous processes. I’ve always thought it inconceivable for me to work a 9-5 job my whole life and retire in the traditional way.

The people I have come across and worked with in the past has fuelled my passion and motivated me even further to free myself from the modern day prison. I have worked with people who have wasted their lives away, sitting on a chair staring at a computer screen. Their bodies falling apart. Their conversations consisting of how they are coping with various ailments that they brought onto themselves in the first place. It’s all so depressing.

With the way the economy is going, the millennial generation will probably have to work well into their 70’s for a state pension.

No thanks.

I had witnessed the stresses and limits a work life in the traditional economy had, through my parents. I learned from many of their mistakes. They were stressed, burnt out and were living pay check to pay check, sometimes even struggling to make ends meet.

On top of that they barely had any time to do the things they loved because they were at work all the time. This cultivated a strong determination in myself to become financially successful, which is something that is still a work-in-progress! I don’t want to suffer like my parents did.

I knew there was something better out there and have always had this fascination for the internet. The power and potential of information communication blew my mind and still does to this day!

I stumbled onto affiliate marketing at the ripe age of 14. Even back then I understood the basic concept and thought the business model was amazing… I could make money by referring someone to a product I don’t need to own or produce? Not even ship it out? WOW!

I quickly taught myself some basic web design skills and built my first website around a backup software that was doing this affiliate promotion campaign. Needless to say, I didn’t make any sales but I did manage to get to the very top of Google with my chosen keyword which I thought was a stupendous result considering it was my first time doing SEO and I was new to all things affiliate marketing.

After that failed attempt I parked my affiliate marketing for the foreseeable future, but it always remained in the back of my mind.

A few years later I gave it a proper shot again, this time I was older, smarter and wiser. I found an affiliate network that was packed with tutorials and how-to guides on doing everything from setting up your website to search engine optimisation and Google PPC.

I got much further this time, I had a professional looking website in the health and nutrition niche promoting various supplements, but the thing I didn’t realise was that I was spreading myself way too thin, trying to do absolutely everything without even considering outsourcing anything. I quickly became overwhelmed at the sheer scale of the tasks I had assigned to myself and was spending too much time watching training videos but not actually taking any action!

I slowly started to lose motivation due to the overwhelm of the whole project. Eventually it got put on the back-burner for the best part of a year.

Fast forward another few months and I’m on YouTube watching random videos (as you do) and I stumble onto the following video:

This changed everything.

I stumbled onto a system and found mentors that taught me the skill sets and mind sets required for success on the internet. I was empowered with the correct education and the tools I needed to become self-reliant online.

I was so relieved to find something that was actually legit!

It was none of this hypey “make money online” nonsense that you see everywhere.

My mentors touched on so many things in various videos that resonated with me and made me realise the reasons for my previous failures.

I was spreading myself too thin, not outsourcing anything and I lacked a business platform I could plug into. I also lacked direction and was getting stuck in education mode. I needed someone to take me by the hand and show me how to do things.

Now that i’ve learnt all the marketing techniques and mindsets that allow me to generate a significant income online…

I feel compelled to share the love and pass this information to other like-minded people who aspire to do BIG things in their life. People that value their time and don’t want to spend their life in an office cubicle.

Life should be this crazy, insanely amazing adventure. What’s the point of safety and comfort? I’ll be safe and comfortable when i’m dead.

Thanks for checking out my story. Hopefully it didn’t put you to sleep haha!
